PORT ANDRATX LOCATION
On the other side of the port is the St Tropez-like fishing town, where you can watch the local fleet return from their labours at sea each evening. There are countless harbour-side bars and restaurants where you can relax over delicious locally-produced pastries and drinks. There are some excellent shopping facilities, and the area is renowned for its range of fashion shops.
The palm-lined waterside walks are as stunning in January as in Summer, the weather in Winter months can be as hot as an English Summers day. Spring is wonderful in Mallorca, when thousands of acres of pale almond blossom adorn the hills and valleys alike.
This is a holiday location that offers a complete range of activities for all the family; water sports, walking and hill climbing, horse riding, golf and much else. Port Andratx is just 45 minutes from Palma International St Joan Airport, in the stunning South Western area of Majorca. The area brings tourists from all over Europe, but because no further hotel developments permitted, accommodation is more or less all self catering from apartments to villas. Close to the apartment is a small secluded beach, where a snack bar opens for most of the season. This is a cove not known to tourists, and is quite difficult to find first time! There is swimming around the tiny coves beside the yacht club itself, where you can sit by the water and enjoy a meal or just a coffee. All in all, a peaceful and tranquil, but far from boring, special holiday at reasonable prices.
